Refuge for Women is a non-profit, faith-based network providing safe housing and specialized care for women who have survived the traumas of sex trafficking in America.
Refuge for Women SoCal, located in north county San Diego, offers survivors up to 12 months of residential trauma-informed recovery programming. Refuge provides access to the restorative therapies, education, and vocational resources she needs to rebuild her life, all at no cost to the survivor. The compassionate 24/7 staff guides each resident through her customized 3-phased program to heal from complex trauma, empower her new vision, and equip her new journey to restore hope, dignity, and healthy independence.
On her own, 8 of 10 “rescues” cannot break the trauma cycle and end up back with their traffickers. Within the Refuge for Women residential program, 70% of Refuge graduates do not return to the trade, or to their former addictions.
