Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned by manager.

PPIC Coordinator:
• Work with manufacturing engineers to create travelers, and work instructions
from engineering drawings and BOM's.
• Work with manufacturing, test, and QA to ensure all required operations and
steps are included.
• Examine documents, materials, and products, and monitor work processes, in
order to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and
specifications.
• Confer with department supervisors and other personnel to assess progress and
discuss needed changes.
• Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or
material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with
management, marketing, sales, production, and engineering.
• Review the checklist in the production folders, sign and print labels and travelers
as required.
• Monitor all jobs on production floor (using the production schedule) to know the
following:
o Status of completion (i.e. how many completed, how many remain to be built,
how many are in WIP).
o Discuss any reoccurring problems on the production floor with the production
assembly and test supervisors and bring potential solutions to the discussion.
• As jobs are being completed, complete the following:
o Confirm the assembly supervisor has verified folder documentation is completed
and accurate (i.e. traveler, test data, requisition forms, engineering drawings)
o Folder review shall be completed within 2 days from when the last unit is
shipped.
o Confirm with the production assembly supervisor that the production kit has been
returned to the stockroom.
o Coordinate job closure in Epicor w/ accounting
• Work with IT implementing items in Epicor as they pertain to production issues
ie. travelers, job status, ect.
• Continue working with production assembly and test areas to maintain and
update travelers as needed.
• Monitor progress on shipped items with QA and shipping and support the Epicor
electronic travelers.
• Maintain/monitor QAP’s and work instructions pertaining to production.
• Continue to issue TCO’s for the release of Epicor Travelers.
• Maintain close security and protect the company’s assets from damage,
including test equipment and tools.
• Ensure that the policies and practices of the employee handbook are followed
within the department.
• Maintain job status tracking in Epicor.

Stock Room Clerk responsibilities:
• Stock and issue parts from stock according to procedures, assuring inventory
accuracy.
• Review incoming request forms for proper coding, quantities requested and
authorized approvals; issue parts to assembly, test and engineering, as
requested.
• Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies;
promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental
practices.
• Perform clerical duties related to maintaining stock inventories and stockroom;
may operate a computer terminal and/or personal computer.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• Remove long lead material in stock and place into pre-kits as preliminary Bills of
Material or Pick Lists are received.
• Complete kits as released Bills of Material or Pick Lists are received and provide
to production.
• Perform data entry daily of all inventory transactions related to Pick Lists.
• Ensure the proper scheduling of kitting to meet production schedules.
• Return unused material from kits of closed jobs to stock.
• Maintain level of inventory by communicating stock and production requirements
to Procurement.
• Support the production department to replace shortages.
• Support the test department by providing needed parts.
• Maintain close security of the company’s assets, including equipment and
inventory.
• Interact with the sales department, engineering department and the general
manager to resolve production-related issues by providing stockroom inventory
information as requested.
• Ensure that material coordination is properly performed, and that timely
information is available to the manager for production planning, engineering, and
sales.
• Control costs within the department by maintaining inventory and inventory
accuracy.
• Ensure that any relevant reports are correct and provided on a timely basis.
• Check e-mail and voicemail daily and respond, as appropriate.
• Ensure company compliance in accordance with AS9100.

Education:
Minimum requirements: high school diploma, bachelor’s degree (B. A.) is preferred but not necessary, at least one-year related experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizations.

Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Computer Skills:
MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Internet software, E-mail and Epicor MRP system a plus.
