Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Maintain close security of the company’s assets, including equipment, tools and
• Ensure that all documentation is available and organized.
• Ensures the work scheduling is done in the most efficient and effective manner.
• Programming, set up, and operation of the Automatic, Semi-Automatic, and
Manual stencil solder paste printers.
• Programming, set up, and operation of the pick and place equipment.
• Programming, set up, and operation of Vapor Phase/convection reflow oven.
• Operation of the cleaning equipment (Vapor Degreaser).
• Perform manual SMT component placement and inspection when needed.
• Report any special tooling or fixture needs to the manufacturing engineer/SMT
• Report any modification to existing pick and place programs to supervisor and
• Report any changes that may impact the daily schedule to supervisor, operators
and the respective program manager.
• Provide daily Excel spreadsheet/email, jobs status reports.
• Train or assist SMT operator Junior level and level 1.
• Be present in meetings when the SMT supervisor is planning the schedule.
• Ensure that the policies and practices of the Employee Handbook are followed
within the department.
• Control costs within the department.
• Communicate all material shortages to stock room clerk and SMT supervisor.
• Remove all finished kits and return them to the stock room.
• Ensure that all documentation is completed and organized in the folder before and
after a job is completed.
• Ensure that the quality control function is performed properly.
• Record daily, monthly, quarterly, 6 month and yearly maintenance performed to the
SMT Equipment in their respective log books.
• Record any changes made to vapor phase profiles and report them to the
supervisor/manufacturing engineer.
• Ensure the safety of employees and help develop and implement an Operations S
Safety Program.
• Support and assist SMT secondary operation line when needed
• Properly report any material/chemical needed for the equipment to your supervisor
or the responsible manufacturing engineer.
• Estimate assembly time on projects or provide input to the process.
• Ensure company compliance in accordance with AS9100.

Certificates: Certification in any of the following

• J-STD-001 latest revision (preferred)
• IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronics Assemblies. Latest revision (preferred)
• ESD control

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Associates degree (A. A.) from two-year College or technical school preferred; or three or more years related experience and/or Training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents written in English such as work instructions, blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Math Ability
Ability to add, subtract, and divide in all units of measure, using whole Numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Computer Skills:
MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Internet software, E-mail, Database software
