Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Assemble components and assemblies using a microscope and small hand tools
such as hand solder, reflow solder, hot plates and solder irons.
• Rework and repair SMT electronics components such as QFNs
• Build RF Coaxial cables and wiring harnesses
• Assemble circuit boards into enclosures.
• Work with engineers and give feedback on ease of assembly and assembly
documentation
• Collaborate in team and department meetings as required
• Set up and maintain work area and the Engineering & Research and Development
Group lab.
• Control costs within the department by maintaining laboratory inventory and
inventory accuracy.
• Maintain close security of the Company’s assets, including equipment and
inventory.
• Ensure that the procedures, policies and practices of the Employee Handbook
within the department.
• Maintain an IPC J-STD-001E Certification and perform quality inspections on
Engineering & Research and Development group projects.
• Ensure compliance in accordance with AS 9100.
• May be required to obtain a security clearance.

Experience in electrical and mechanical assembly with highly developed skills using soldering and related equipment. Training on using microscopes and rework stations will given if necessary. Must be able to read drawings and BOM’s, will be trained to read schematics and layout files using Engineering CAD software programs. Able to work from verbal instructions, informal or formal documentation.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Associates degree (A. A.) from two-year College or technical school preferred; or ten plus years of years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as drawings, bill of materials, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must be able to send and receive emails.

Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
