Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• A working understanding of the RF and DC testing that is completed in support of
production hardware.
• A working understanding of proper tuning techniques; including tuning with tabs
and lumped elements in high power RF amplifiers with limited supervision.
• A working understanding of troubleshooting techniques and the common problems
seen in the production hardware.
• A working understanding of the use and proper calibration of the test equipment
that is used in support of testing high power RF amplifiers, including but not limited
to: Vector Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Power Meters and Signal
Generators, with limited supervision
• Assist in providing guidance and training to other test personnel on an “as required
basis.”
• Be able to clearly communicate and interact with the responsible engineers and
the necessary production and manufacturing personnel to resolve production
related issues within the program.
• Understand the program hardware flow (steps) and role within that flow to better
coordinate the overall program test effort with the scheduled time allotment.
• Ensure all program documentation and test data records are complete and
accurate, and provided on a timely basis for review.
• Ensure the test tasks assigned are done in the most efficient and effective manner.
• Maintain close security and protect the company’s assets from damage, including
test equipment and tools.
• Ensure that the quality control functions are properly performed such as ESD
precautions, Used-On Log and equipment calibration.
• Ensure personnel safety procedures are followed at all times and/or highlight and
raise concern to the appropriate personnel if safety hazards are found.
• Ensure that the policies and practices of the Employee Handbook are followed
within the department.
• Ensure company compliance in accordance with AS9100.
• Check email regularly and respond appropriately.

Must be able to read drawings and BOM’s and be able to perform basic SMT soldering for repairs.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Associates degree (A. A.) from two-year College or technical school preferred; or five to ten years related experience in RF field and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Computer Skills:
MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Internet software, E-mail, Database software
