Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Responsible for assembling mechanical/electrical assemblies consisting of a varying number of components and detail to meet design specifications and quality/safety requirements.
• Assemble devices referring to engineering specs, prints, layouts, Standard Work Procedures, and/or verbal instructions.
• Use a variety of manual and automated mechanical and electrical tools.
• Assemble electrical parts and components of basic to moderate complexity.
• Responsible for the preparing of wires, parts, components and structures to assemble electrical wire harness and subassemblies.
• Strip, crimp, splice, tin and/or solder wires and install wires into connectors.
• Perform electrical bonding of structures for the purpose of grounding electrical parts.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety procedures including those which govern the handling of materials, chemicals, tools, and equipment.
• Assembly and Test the Engineering & Research and Development Group projects.
• Assist with tasking Production Department resources when they are supporting assembly and manufacturing of Engineering & Research and Development Projects.
• Assist Engineers with recording design modifications and creating assembly instructions.
• Set up and maintain the Engineering & Research and Development Group lab.
• Stock and issue parts from stock according to procedures, assuring inventory accuracy.
• Perform clerical duties related to maintaining stock inventories for the Engineering & Research and Development Group. Replace shortages when necessary.
• Complete kits as released Bills of Material are received.
• Control costs within the department by maintaining inventory and inventory accuracy.
• Maintain an IPC J-STD-001E Certification and perform quality inspections on Engineering & Research and Development group projects.


• Minimum of 10 plus years’ experience in SMT soldering and E/M assembly using a variety of hand tools.
• High School Diploma/GED
• Ability to read and interpret blue prints, BOM and drawings.
• Experience using hand tools and torque tools.
• Intermediate computer skills required. MS Office (Email, Excel and Word)
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• IPC J-STD-001E highly preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and meet customer deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to team with all Company work groups.

Must be a US Person and be able to obtain a US Security Clearance.
