Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Ensure that projects are completed accurately and on time.
• Update designs records as required to reflect current and accurate design information.
• Participate in New Development activities from a Design for Manufacturing/Design for Test perspective to ensure new designs are effectively and efficiently transitioned to production.
• Assist in the development and modification of RF tuning maps for production designs.
• Document RF Tuning Maps and participate in training of RF test technicians to ensure Tuning Maps are adhered to.
• Respond to customer inquiries in a courteous manner; provide information within scope of knowledge or refer to an employee of higher classification.
• Provide engineering support to the electrical engineering department, test engineering and production test as required for DVT and New Development activities.
• Review test plans, procedures, test reports and data for correctness.
• Review and approve manufacturing work instructions, travelers etc to ensure technical aspects of the production flow are appropriate and accounted for.
• Identify bottlenecks on production line test and provide solutions to technical challenges.
• Participate in FRACAS program to monitor failure trends and work with design and production support engineering to implement improvements and improve yield.
• Ability to understand and document production flows and participate/lead the execution of lean six sigma or similar improvement methodologies.
• Provides leadership and mentoring for production test team.
• Ability to train and mentor RF Test Technicians in all aspects of RF (Power, VSWR, Phase noise, Linearity, PAE, etc.), DC and Digital circuit validation.

Qualifications:
• In-depth working knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF) electronics, Test Equipment and measurement requirements associated with high power RF technologies from HF to Microwave required. Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma (or similar) methodologies a plus.
• 10 or more years related work experience and/or training with RF amplifiers or other RF devices including RF tuning; High Power RF experience preferred. High Rel and or Space experience preferred.
• A Bachelors’ or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or physics required.
• Ability to work under demanding delivery schedules to meet company and customer commitments.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Must be able to effectively communicate effectively with internal and external customers and vendors.
• Knowledge of EPICOR MRP system a PLUS.

Must be a US Person and be able to obtain a US Security Clearance.
