Performing visual inspection of electronic assemblies and sub-assemblies. Record Pass/Fail/ Reject parts on workshop travelers and log in daily. Work in a team-oriented environment and ensure that good manufacturing practices and good documentation practices are maintained.
Use inspection microscope equipment and learned personal skills. Records data on acceptance travelers - strong attention to detail is KEY!

Job description details:

Primary Function: Perform visual inspection on circuit boards assemblies (CCA) to verify solder joint integrity, other components value and wiring assemblies to meet IPC-A-610, Class 2 & 3 hand soldering as well as surface mount components. Under general supervision, must be able to work from drawings specifications, built of materials (BOM), engineering change notice (ECN), and documented instruction (redlines) to inspect components subassemblies, assemblies and RMA units to ensure compliance to applicable quality specifications and standards (i.e., proper component orientation, masking, soldering, coating, etc.). Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.

Ideal candidate: Have a minimum of two (2) years’ inspection experience or quality control experience; must be detail oriented. Adequate experience inspecting electronic soldered assemblies preferred.


• Perform all electrical inspections to IPC-A-610, Class 2 and 3 or mechanical inspections to released
drawings, procedures and specifications.
• Having an active current certification in IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620 would be a plus.
• Resolve discrepancies and communicate corrective actions per non-conforming material
• Work closely with Quality Supervisor or Quality Engineers and other departments to resolve
• Complete the required inspection records, reports and transactions.
• Enter information in data entry spreadsheets for data collection purposes.
• Perform first-article inspections using the AS 9102 form.
• Determine if product is non-conforming and document any non-conformances per company
• Follow all internal AS 9100 procedures.
• Ensure all products manufactured and delivered meet the customer requirements.
• Ensure compliance to required ESD manufacturing environments including facility audits and
employee training.
• Knowledge of space requirements for loaded and bare printed circuit boards would be a plus.


• High school Diploma
• Able to perform first article reports.
• IPC-A-610 experience or other soldering experience such as DOD-STD-2000 and AS9100 and
Space Related Quality experience would be a plus.
• Experience with SMT soldering and related equipment a plus. Must be able to read and interpret
drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM’s).
• Experience working with small parts and good manual dexterity.
• Flexibility to work Overtime on weekends and holidays as needed.
• Punctuality and good attendance record.
• Basic Microsoft computer skills including email, word and proficiency with Excel data entry
• Ability to work under demanding delivery schedules to meet deadlines in a fast-paced changing
business environment and customer commitments.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Must be able to effectively communicate effectively with internal customers.
• Knowledge of EPICOR MRP system a PLUS.
• Knowledge or certification of the J-STD Space Addendum a plus.

Must be a US Person and be able to obtain a US Security Clearance.
