Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Overtime is required.

• Ensure company compliance with AS9100.
• Proficient with the use of hand and power tools.
• A thorough understanding of the use of a variety of tools and equipment to assemble units according to required specifications in the production line.
• Able to read drawings, bill of materials, sketches, and written instructions to assemble products.
• Able to solder components to PCB and RF cables.
• Able to look for faulty components during the assembly process and may be required to test assembled parts in products.
• Able to solve assembly problems by modifying scopes to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional information.
• Maintain close security of the company’s assets, including equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Ensure the work is done efficiently and effectively.
• Experience with building wire harnesses and coax cables.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Responsible for documenting rework or drawing changes.
• Responsible for working with drawings, bill of materials, and travelers.
• Properly maintain company property and accountability for loss, theft, or misuse.
• Ensure that the policies and practices of the Aethercomm Employee Handbook are followed within the department.
• Ensure the safety of other assemblers.
• Responsible for taking on additional assignments without negatively affecting other work.
• Implement the Operations Safety Program.
• Responsible for creating a high morale workplace with the highest ethical standards.
• Must be able to contribute to team effort.
• Responsible for the day-to-day performance of their assigned projects.
• Report to the production supervisor if the project cannot be finished on time.
• Inform the production supervisor if any individual other than their direct manager has requested changing the daily tasks.
• Experience with mechanical assembly, blue prints, bill of materials, power tools, and related equipment.
• Soldering skills consistent with J-STD-001, IPC-A-610 Class III or must be capable of obtaining certification to IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001. Current certification a plus.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Associates degree (A.A.) from a two-year college or technical school preferred; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as drawings, bill of materials, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
