Aethercomm Part Number SSPA 2.30-2.40-400 is a high power, WIMAX Band, Solid State Power Amplifier that operates from 2.30 to 2.40 GHz. This unit delivers 50 watts of average power to the load with an ACPR of 42 dBc maximum. Minimum small signal gain is 52 dB. Typical gain flatness is ±0.1 dB across the band. Noise Figure is 4.9 dB typical at 25ºC. Input VSWR is 2.0:1 maximum. Output VSWR is 2.0:1 maximum. This unit is equipped with Aethercomm's proprietary DC switching circuitry that enables and disables the DC-DC circuitry in 5000 nSec maximum. Standard features include reverse polarity protection, output short and open circuit protection, and an integrated DC-DC converter with over/under voltage protection. This power amplifier operates from a +36 Vdc power supply. The maximum current at 50 Watts of average RF output power is 17 Amps typical. This amplifier operates from +20C to +40C base plate temperature for the data presented herein. The amplifier is capable of operation from -20C to +70C with slight degradation in ACPR levels. This SSPA is manufactured for WIMAX systems in the 2.30-2.40 GHz band. Standard housing size is approximately 10.75(w) by 11.20(l) by 3.10(h) inches including heat sink. For mounting and heat sink instructions, please contact the factory. A SMA female connector is standard on the RF input port. A type N female connector is standard on the output port. There are forward and reflected power sample ports with SMA female connectors at each port. DC and logic connections are accessible via a 15 pin DSUB connector. A logic high enables the amplifier to the On state. A logic low or open circuit will disable the unit. The input power is limited at the input in case the input power exceeds 0 dBm.
